Professor Alisher Faizullaev, D.Sc., Ph.D., served as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom (1999-2003), Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Netherlands and Luxembourg with the Residence in Brussels (1997-98), Head of the Mission of Uzbekistan to Euro Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC)/North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) (1995-98); Head of the Mission of Uzbekistan to the European Communities (1995-98) and Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Belgium (1995-98).
He also worked as the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan (1999), State Adviser to the President of Uzbekistan on International Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations (1998–99), Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan (1994-95), Consultant on Political Affairs, and then Chief Consultant on International Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations, Office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (1993-94).
