  1. @Jamshid:

    Jamshid,

Au contraire! Business, more than anything else is about little steps. I had several start ups, some of them failed and some of them succeeded in ways unimaginable at first, and I ended up managing billions of dollars. The successes came after the failures, and two of the main lessons that failures taught me were, impatience is punishable by death of business, and for your own sanity’s sake, take one day at a time moving towards the goal.

    vse drugoye melochi!

    1. Oqsoy, I fully agree with you. Yet impatience and Breakthrough game changing behavior are totally different things. I am sure that you have spent endless hours and days planning your upcoming business plans and presentations till you became a person to manage billions :). I think, you were indeed correct in taking those “little steps” in planning and setting up the framework. However, I do not think that you were slow in realizing your ideas, when you starter, were you? If “little steps” theory would be correct in business conduct, then Marketing companies would not end up spending billions of funds to create “big bang” effect. Steps should be in consequetive order, but those steps should the ones which really matter.
In my opinion we are talking about different things, as I do not contradict to the fact that we should take STEPs, but those steps should be big ones. Perhaps the name for it is a pace or passion with which you take those steps.

  2. А как насчет вот этого выражения: “Go BIG or GO HOME”. Short term pain, long term gain.
Taking into consideration above mentioned facts, with all the respect, I would disagree with your statement about “big vision but little steps” reapplying into business. Yet, whenever we start talking about moral, ethics, education, interpersonal relations – “Big vision with little steps” work at its best.
    Thanks.
