Now please find below another presentation on using social media in public diplomacy – a comparative analysis of the Chinese and Russian consulates’ FB activities in San Francisco, USA. The work has been done by D.K., A.T., O.M., F.M., and S.M., the 4th year students of UWED in the context of our Public Diplomacy class (and I publish it here with their permission). It is not a comprehensive study but rather the students attempt to better understand the using of social media as an instrument of public diplomacy.

The U.S. and the British Embassies’ Facebook Activities in Tashkent
In my Public Diplomacy class at UWED, our 4th year students did some case studies on using social networks by the foreign diplomatic actors. One of these cases is “the Comparative Analysis of the U.S. and the British Embassies’ Facebook Activities in Tashkent: A Public Diplomacy Perspective”. Below I provide the students’ PowerPoint presentation (with their permission). The work has been done by 5 students: Y.N., Q.B., E.R., E.O., and Y.B. Obviously, it is not a comprehensive research, but rather a genuine attempt of the students to understand the mechanisms of using the social media in public diplomacy.

On Dr. David Walls-Kaufman’s Push Hands Skill
I have enjoyed some Push Hands practices with Dr. David Walls-Kaufman, and here is my appreciation letter to him:
Dominance and submission
Acceptable dominance is authority and unacceptable dominance is dictatorship; acceptable submission is courtesy and unacceptable submission is slavery.
